...was established in 1976 as a registered charity (number 284607) by a small group of volunteers who recognised the need for refuge accommodation for women fleeing domestic abuse.
Our trustees and advisory committee are volunteers and we deliver our services through our Group Manager and her team of professionals.
We have been at the heart of domestic violence service provision in Stroud, Gloucestershire for over 30 years and are recognised as specialists in our field.

Where We Are
Our refuges are based in Stroud, a small market town in Gloucestershire within easy reach of the M5 and Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham and Oxford.
We have two houses, each accommodating up to four families, which are within walking distance of the town centre, where women and their children can stay to give them the time and the space they need to make informed decisions about their futures.
Each woman/family has their own private bedroom as well as the use of shared facilities including living room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities, playroom and garden.
