Parish Council

The Parish Council is an elected statutory body.

The cost of work undertaken by the Parish Council is met by raising a precept; this is money it requests Stroud District Council to raise on behalf of the Parish Council through Council Tax.

The Parish Council works closely with the District Council, County Council, Highways Authority and other agencies.

The Parish Council is consulted on planning issues. Applications are considered by the Parish Council and its recommendations passed to Stroud District Council.

Parish Council meetings are held every month to debate issues. The Council meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 19:00 in the village hall.

Tha agendas for each meeting are set a week in advance and electors requests for items to be addressed by the Council are considered for inclusion.

Notices of meetings are posted on the notice boards at either end of the village and Minutes are published on our web site. Parishioners can also raise issues through the Parish Clerk
