The Consessions Card Scheme

The scheme has been designed to promote physical activity across the District with its focus being placed on certain groups of people who would benefit from discounted use.

The user groups who are identified will be able to use Pay and Play facilities at prices which are at least 40% lower than the equivalent price for general users.

Pay and Play* activities include:

*The centre reserves the right to change the Pay and Play sessions that are available.

All personal information gathered will be stored securely on the facilities password protected membership database. It will only be used by Stroud District Council and its Cultural Services facilities to provide information on usage and for marketing and promotional purposes.

Who is eligible for the scheme?

People under 16 years of age

Students in full-time education aged 16 and over. (Students must bring in aletter from their university orcollege to show that they are in full time education.)

Senior citizens aged 60 years and over

Disabled People

People receiving any of the following;
• Job Seekers Allowance
• Income support
• Employment Support Allowance
• Housing Benefit
• Council Tax Benefit
• Incapacity Benefit
• Pension Credit (Guaranteed Element) aged 60 years and over.
• War or War Widows Pension


If you are not eligible to join the concessions scheme please ask at Reception for other memberships that are available

What do you have to do to join?

All customers who want to benefit from the scheme are required to bring in photographic evidence i.e. passport, driving licence, student card.

Under 16’s will only require proof if it is not obvious that they are under the age i.e. children of primary school age are obviously under 16 years and do not need to prove this is the case.

We require all customers wishing to be on the scheme to register by giving the centre their personal
details such as:•
Name
Address
Date of Birth
Telephone
Email address
Ethnicity

Customers are also required to bring in evidence of their eligibility. Proof will be required on an annual basis.

Once you have registered you will receive a membership card, this must be swiped at the centre before any activity so the discounts can be given.
