Whitminster Cricket Club play their cricket on the village playing field located next to the local primary school in School Lane.
Whitminster Cricket Club was formally known as Stonehouse Cricket Club, playing cricket at Oldends Lane in Stonehouse until they relocated to Whitminster in 2000.
After being relegated from the Stroud Premier League in 2009.Whitminster Cricket Club had a great following season in Stroud 1st Division winning the league unbeaten!. Whitmisnter Cricket Club now play in the Stroud Premier League
Since 2003, during the autumn we have also played in the Cheltenham indoor league. Where we have been very successful, winning the league in the first season we joined!
We have had a Cricket 8's competition which has gone successfully for 2 years now, it involves 4 teams playing a series of small games. Each game gets you points the two teams with the most points after everyone has played each other will progress to the final. Then the two will battle out to
Whitminster Cricket Club recorded their most successful Season in the Clubs history becoming 2010 Stroud League Division One Champions.
The Club won all twelve games without losing any and finished the season with their annual 8 a side competition involving local Clubs Frampton CC, Longney CC and The Commoners. Although the weather was a little unsettled the day was a success.
